From February 25, 2019 to March 3, 2019, Professor Zhao Xinyu ofSchool of Economicsof Jilin University led a delegation to participate in the 2019 alumni forum of Jilin University of Kansai University held in Kansai University of Japan. Members of the delegation include Professor Zhao Xinyu, director of the Department of economics,School of Economics, Jilin University, Dr. Zhang Hu, Department of international economy and trade, and 15 undergraduates fromSchool of Economics.
On February 26, Professor Zhao Xinyu led a delegation to visit the Economics Department of Kansai University of Japan. He met with Professor Takashi Maeda, Minister of economics, Professor Tun Tanaka, former Minister of economics, and Professor Kenjiro Hirayama, the main person in charge of the academic conference. He also communicated on the cooperation between the two schools of economics. Subsequently, the opening ceremony of the Joint Academic Forum of Kansai University and Jilin University in 2019 was held. According to former minister Tian Xue, the Economics Department of Kansai University and theSchool of Economicsof Jilin University have maintained close cooperation and in-depth exchanges for a long time. On the basis of the cooperation and exchanges of their predecessors, the exchanges and cooperation between the two universities have become more and more extensive and in-depth, especially the exchanges between students, which have attracted more and more attention from teachers and students of the two universities. On the afternoon of February 26, Professor Tanaka Tun, former head of Economics Department of Kansai University, gave an academic report entitled'monetary policy of economics.'he introduced the monetary policy of abenomics and the policy tools implemented by the Bank of Japan to achieve the 2% price target, including negative interest rate policy and quantitative and qualitative easing. Professor Tanaka's analysis and interpretation of the Bank of Japan's financial policy, pointed out that simple quantitative and qualitative easing of financial policy in Japan can not make Japan get rid of long-term deflation.
After that, Professor Zhao Xinyu gave an academic report with the title of'experiences and challenges of economic development in Northeast China.'he introduced the problems existing in the economic development of Northeast China, as well as the implementation background and prospects of the old industrial revitalization strategy. Professor Zhao Xinyu pointed out that the problem of economic development in Northeast China can not be solved simply by expanding financial investment, but should be solved on the basis of further deepening reform and improving business environment.
Teachers and students attending the meeting asked questions and discussed the two professors' reports. Students from both sides, especially from theSchool of Economicsof Jilin University, asked questions enthusiastically, and the atmosphere was very active.
Finally, under the chairmanship of Professor Kenji Hirayama, the students from both sides were divided into five discussion groups and began to discuss the research topics of this group in groups.
On the morning of February 27, the forum continued its second stage of travel.

Through the panel data from 1994 to 2015, it combs, analyzes and summarizes the relationship between economic development and industrial structure adjustment in Northeast China.
Secondly, Professor Kenjiro Hirayama gave an academic report with the title of'the course of 'Japan, Inc.'', combed the post-war Japanese economic development and the overseas expansion strategy of Japanese enterprises and the problems they faced, corrected the past in the process of Japanese enterprises attaching importance to the supply side development, and developed to the so-called'Galapagos'.
Finally, Dr. Zhang Hu made an academic report with the title of'the impact of China US trade friction on East Asian countries', pointing out that under the Sino US trade friction, the tariff imposed by the United States on imports from China not only has a negative impact on China's exports, but also has a negative impact on the industrial chain and supply chain of the whole East Asian region. On March 1, the student publishing conference of the 2019 common academic forum of Jilin University of Guanxi University was held. Students from Guanxi University and Jilin University of economics of Japan were divided into five groups to prepare and report in groups.
Zhujinghan, Wang Han and Li Hao of group A, together with the Japanese students in the same group, reported on the topic'future of china--through the smart technology', combed the scientific and technological innovation in China and Japan and the world, and discussed the contribution of scientific and technological innovation to China's economic development.
Chen Yitong, huangzhicong, zhouzizhong and liyujia of group B, together with the same group of Japanese students, reported on the topic'a research of circular economy in China based on the experience of Japan', summarized the cycle economy in Japan, analyzed the cost-benefit and discussed the way of promoting circular economy and environmental protection in China.
He Hongyu, huxinmiao and Liuxi of group C, together with the Japanese students in the same group, made a report on'school life in China and Japan', and summarized and discussed the different university living environment, curriculum arrangement, examination difficulty, credit system and main campus activities in China and Japan. Yangyang, wanmengze and guxuan of group D, together with the same group of Japanese students, made a report on'transportation', sorted out and summarized the transportation mechanism and cost of China and Japan, and analyzed the development of e-commerce.
Li Yiyi and pomferi of group E, together with the same group of Japanese students, reported on'aging problem in the world, China, Japan'. Starting from the widespread aging of population in various countries around the world, the paper compares the aging society of China and Japan, and discusses the impact on economic development, and discusses the practical problems such as how to meet the needs of aging society.
