Recently, the results of the 21st ‘An Zijie International Trade Research Award’ were announced. The school of economics professor Yongqi Feng's ‘Research on China's foreign market providers’ won the third prize of excellent works, which is the second research achievement of our school to win the award.
‘An Zijie International Trade Research Award’ is funded by Mr. Zijie An to promote China's research in the field of international trade. The categories of awards are monographs and papers. The scope of selection includes international trade theory and policy, international trade practice, international investment, international business administration, international economic and trade laws and regulations, world market analysis and forecast, service trade and other fields related to international trade. It is regarded as the highest academic award in China's economic and trade field. The education ministry recognized the award as a ministerial award, which has a great influence in China and abroad. The current ‘An Zijie International Trade Research Award’ was launched in October 2020. Through the procedures of communication review, conference review and publicity of the results, 11 outstanding works awards and 20 outstanding papers awards were finally determined, among which the first prize for works and papers was vacant, 1 second prize, 10 third prizes for outstanding works, 4 second prize and 16 third prizes for outstanding essays.
The university has always attached great importance to the cultivation and funding of high-quality scientific research achievements. Professor Yongqi Feng’s ‘Research on China's external market providers’ was selected into the ‘Academic library of philosophy and social sciences of Jilin University’ in 2018, and was published in the social sciences literature press with funding. This essay analyzes China's position as marker place provider and future development in ‘one belt, one road’. The influence of China's foreign market supplier status on East Asian trade patterns and RMB internationalization strategy is analyzed as well as the relationship between China's foreign market supplier's structural change and China's import trade mode transformation and economic development. This paper analyzes the dependence of external countries on the Chinese market and how to seek common interests with them to achieve ‘win-win cooperation’, which provides a theoretical basis for China's import trade structure optimization, effective supply increase, supply side structural reform and economic structure optimization and upgrading.
